Cleaning the water level indicator
Pull the water level indicator out of the inner cover. Remove the plug and the float switch out of the housing of the
water level indicator and clean using clear water. Reassemble in the reverse order such that the float switch can move
freely in the housing.
Module M 2 (coarse dirt separator): Cleaning the Screenex cylinder (J)
Turn the rotary handle of the Screenex cylinders forward and backward several times: The cylinder is cleaned by
brushes at the inner and outer walls. If necessary, release the cylinder holder, remove the Screenex cylinders and
thoroughly brush and rinse them from the inside and outside under running water.
Module M 2 (coarse dirt separator): Replacing the cleaning brushes (M)
If the cleaning brushes of the Screenex cylinder are worn, release the cylinder holders, and remove the Screenex
cylinder. Loosen the nuts of the brush holders on the inside and outside, remove worn brushes, push new brushe into
the guide, refit the nuts, insert the Screenex cylinders in the container and secure with the cylinder holders.
Modules M 3 (foam filter) und M 4 (phosphate binder): Cleaning foam filters (K) and replacement (N)
To mechanically clean the foam filters, pull on the cleaning handles and "pump" several times neither too strong nor
too fast. Open the slide until the water has completely drained, close the slide again, repeat the cleaning process 2 to 3
times, if necessary. If necessary, release the engagement hooks of the inner cover (L), remove the inner cover with the
foam filters, release the foam holder plates from the foam holders, pull off the foam filters and clean under running
water. If necessary, replace the foam filters.
Cleaning processes applicable to all filter modules M 1 - M 4 (J, K)
After cleaning the filter elements, open the slide of the dirt drain and wait until the pond water has drained and the
containers are empty. Fit a fresh water hose to the spray system (except M 1) and supply fresh water. Once the con-
tainers are rinsed inside and the water has drained, firmly close the slide again and fill the containers with fresh water
up to the drain level. Once the cleaning process is completed, reopen the slide at the system inlet, switch on the pump,
check the system for leaks, close the filter module cover.
Storage/Over-wintering
If the system is operated in a frost protected filter shaft or room, it can remain in operation during the winter. It is the
responsibility of the user to ensure a minimum temperature of 4° C.
Systems that are not frost protected must be shut down when the water temperature goes below 8 °C or at the latest
when frost is expected. Drain and thoroughly clean the system, and check for damage. Cover the filter containers to
prevent the ingress of rain water. Drain all hoses, pipes and connections as far as possible and leave the slide valve of
the filter modules open.
Disposal
Dispose of the unit in accordance with the national legal regulations.

Remedy of faults

Trouble shooting
Water stays cloudy
Water flow insufficient
No water outlet from the pond
inlet
Cause
− Unit has been in operation only for a short time
− Inadequate pump capacity
− Water extremely soiled
− Excessive fish and animial population
− Screenex separator screens soiled
− Foam filters soiled
− Bottom drain, pipe or hose blocked
− Hose kinked
− Excessive loss in the supply hoses
− Pump power plug not connected
− Pond inlet blocked
Remedy
− The complete biological cleaning effect is only achieve-
dafter several weeks
− Adapt the pump capacity
− Remove algae and leaves from the pond, exchange the
water
− Guide value: approx. 60 cm fish length on 1 m
water
− Clean screen
− Clean foam filters
− Clean hose, or replace, if necessary
− Check hose, and replace, if necessary
− Reduce hose length to necessary minimum
− Connect pump power plug
− Clean pond inlet
