the way through and this can lead to serious injuries. For
extreme bevelled or slanted cuts the saw blade can also be
run against the chock.
Adjust the saw head with the tommy screw (2). Tilt the
saw head to the desired angle as shown on the slanting
scale. The blade can be positioned at any angle from a 90°
straight cut (0° on the scale) to 45° tilted either to the left
or the right. In order to adjust the position of the saw head,
set the fastening lever (1) to the right position by pushing
it down. There are positive position presets for inclinations
of 0°, 33.9° und 45° available.
Note: A chock peg for the 33.9° is included to produce
„crown" cuts.
Multiple Cuts (fig. 19)
• Extend the blade chock as far as it will go.
• Establish the desired angle of slant using the fastening
lever (1).
• Establish the desired bevelling angle and adjust it. See
the section on bevelled cuts.
Basis Form Cuts (fig. 20)
Basis forms can be made vertically, against the chock, or
flat on the mounting table. Follow the table.
Note: For special ceiling moldings this machine has a par-
ticular chock at a slant of 33.9° preset. Should this angle
be desired, then simply push the chock lever (4) into the
slit and position the slant at 33.9° (fig. 9).
Combination Cuts
• A combination cut is a combination of a bevelled and
slanted cut. For this cut use the instructions above.
Floorboards
• Floorboards can be cut vertically to the table surface or
flat on the table. Consult the following table.

Ceiling Moldings (fig. 20, 21)
• Ceiling moldings can only be made with the crown and
mitre box saw flat on the table.
• This crown and mitre box saw has a particular bevelled
chock for 33.9° especially for ceiling moldings, that is
between the back of the board and the ceiling, placed on
the upper, smooth surface with an angle of 52°; between

there is an angle of 38°. For the cuts necessary for such
a ceiling molding, please consult the following table.
Note: This special cut cannot be used with a ceiling molding
of 45°.
• Since most rooms do not have an exact 90° angle, fine
adjustments may be necessary. Always make a test cut
to be sure that the angle is correct.

Automatic Intake (fig. 22)
Warning: The operator must never pull the saw head toward
him or herself during operation. The blade could draw the
upper side of the material upward and cause recoil of the
saw head with its blade.
• Never push the running blade down, until the saw head
has been drawn to the upper side of the sawed material.
• Pull the chock out.
• Release the slit blocking grip (1) so that the saw head
can move freely.
• Set the desired slant angle and or bevel angle and lock
it in.
• When making a slanted cut, place the left as well as the
right slicing chocks in the operational position.
• Use a screw vice to secure the materials
• Grasp the saw grip (3) and pull the slits (4) forward until
the middle of the saw blade is above the front side of the
material (5).
• Pull on the release (6) to start the saw.
• When the saw has reached its full speed, press the han-
dles slowly down through the upper edge of the materi-
als.
• Move the handles slowly against the chock and bring the
cut to an end.
• Use the release and let the blade run down before mov-
ing the saw head up.
Setting the Cut Depth (fig. 23)
For straight and flat repeated cuts the cut depth can be set
in advance.
• Move the saw head down until the saw blade teeth have
reached the desired cut depth.
• While holding the upper arm in position, turn the stop
knob (1) until it has reached the stop plate (2).
• Check the depth of the teeth and move the saw head
from the front to the back through the full area of a typi-
cal cut along the steering arm.
Wave-laser Management
Your machine is equipped with our latest development
the laser management, a battery operated device that uses
laser beams of the class IIIa category. The laser beams
make it possible for you to predict the length of a bevel cut
on the materials before you begin sawing.
