The reusable instruments are supplied non-sterile.
Clean, disinfect and sterilize the instruments prior to
the first use and after every subsequent use.
Handle with care: The Drills and the Drill Guide in
the Set have sharp cutting edges.
PReCaUtIoNS
It is imperative that the surgeon and operating
room staff are fully conversant with the appropriate
surgical technique for using each component of the
ArthroTunneler™ Set.
Inspect the instruments before use for integrity and
compatibility in order to ensure proper functionality
and safety. Do not use the ArthroTunneler™ device or
instruments if they appear to be damaged and notify
your Tornier representative.
Test the ArthroTunneler™ device before surgical use
by operating the Anvil and Loop actuators. Verify free
movement of the Anvil and the Loop.
Replace all dull instruments.

Warnings:
The following cleaning, Disinfection and Sterilization
instructions have been validated. Failure to follow all
steps may result in contamination.
The use of metallic brushes, scrub pads or other articles
that are likely to damage the instrument must be avoided.
Chemicals such as chlorine or soda as well as organic
or ammoniated acids or solvents (e.g. Acetone) that are
likely to damage the instrument must not be used.

Warnings:
Wear appropriate protective equipment: eye protection,
gloves, etc.
Cleaning should be performed immediately after each
procedure, before blood, saline and debris are dry.
1. Rinse with distilled or demineralized water.
2. Prepare an enzymatic cleaning solution according to
the manufacturer's instructions.
3. Submerge the instruments in the enzymatic solution
for 20 minutes. Use a 5mL syringe and needle to flush
enzymatic detergent through lumens, and use a soft
bristled brush to scrub the crevices and slots.
note: Ultrasonic cleaning will provide the most
efficient cleaning.
4. Rinse with distilled or demineralized water, agitating
for 1 minute; repeat rinse twice.
5. Dry all instruments thoroughly before storage.
