Deactivating the sensor and the auto-
matic Emergency Motor Stop
Depending on the model of the machine, it is possi-
ble to briefly deactivate the sensor and its protective
functions, including the automatic EMERGENCY
MOTOR STOP.
If the magnetic sensor LED [2] permanently lights up
red during work when the magnet are activated, this
is due to the magnetic field being too weak for the
sensor in the first coil of the magnet.
To briefly deactivate the sensor and its protective
functions, press the button MOTOR O [9] for two
seconds.
Once the LED is no longer illuminated, switch the
motor on.
Once the drilling operation is over, switch the
motor off as per usual.
The machine is back in normal mode with sensor
3
protection function.
Motor LED on the operating panel

The motor LED on the operating panel signals the
motor's operating condition, its temperature and the
condition of the carbon brushes.

Carbon wear monitoring
The machine has an integrated carbon wear moni-
toring facility, whereby the motor LED flashes green
once the carbon brushes are sufficiently worn out
due to mechanical abrasion.
Replace the carbon brushes as quickly as possible.
Always replace the carbon bushes
simultaneously.
Refer directly to Würth MasterService regarding this
matter.
Working with core drills (Fig. II)
Risk of injury
Sharp-edged parts may cause per-
Â
sonal injury.
Wear gloves.
¾
Risk of injury due to shavings
Shavings can lead to injury.
Â
Remove chips and shavings with a
¾
chip hook.
Do not pick up shavings with your
¾
bare hands.
Attention!
Only use the quick-change holder [12] on the flat
clamping surface of the core drill (Fig. II).
Push centring and ejector pin through the head of
the core drill.
Align the flat clamping surface of the core drill
with the marking in the swivel.
Turn the swivel of the quick-change holder fully in
a clockwise direction to open the clamping block.
Insert the core drill and turn the swivel back.
Check the core drill is fitting correctly and
securely.
Apply the core drill and drill the workpiece until
the entire cutting surface forms a circular ring.
The core drill should be cooled continuously
cooled during the drilling process. Optimum
cooling is possible by means of our coolant
equipment using internal cooling.
Attention!
Do not switch the drive motor off during drilling.
Once the drilling process is over, with the motor
running retract the core drill by turning the star
handle.
Remove shavings and core after each drill.
