Work station safety
a) Keep your workplace clean and well
lit. Mess or unlit work areas can result in
accidents.
b) Do not use the device in explosive at-
mospheres or near flammable liquids,
gases or dust. Devices produce sparks that
can ignite vapours or dust.
c) Keep children and other person away
during use of the device.
Electrical safety
a) The connecting plug of the device must
fit in the socket. The plug must not be
modified in any way. Do not use any
adapter plugs with earthed devices.
Unmodified plugs and matching sockets mini-
mise the risk of an electric shock.
b) Avoid physical contact with earthed
surfaces, such as pipes, heaters,
cookers and refrigerators. There is an
increased risk of electric shock if your body is
earthed.
c) Keep devices away from rain or mois-
ture. If water enters the device, there is an
increased risk of electric shock.
d) Do not use the connection cable other
than for its intended use, e.g. for
carrying or suspending the device or
to pull the plug out of the socket. Keep
the connection cable away from heat,
oil, sharp edges or moving device
parts. Damaged or tangled connection cables
increase the risk of an electric shock.
e) When working with a device out-
doors only use extension leads that
are suitable for outdoor use. Use of an
outdoor-rated extension lead minimises the risk
of an electric shock.
