Attaching the earmuffs (optional)

1. Insert the earmuffs into the helmet adapter from below until they click into
place.
2. Adjust the earmuffs so that they cover the user's ears.

Donning the Dräger X-plore

► Do not switch off respiratory protective device while the helmet is still
closed.
1. Fold up the visor.
2. Put the helmet on.
3. Hold the face cuff by the tabs and pull it apart.
4. Pull the face cuff under the chin so that it tightly encloses the face.

Full user protection only is guaranteed
► if the helmet fits in place optimally. The support ring must be adjusted to the
head circumference. Only wear the helmet when it is fully assembled and
ready for use (see "Checking serviceability", page 20).

► when the face cuff fits tightly on the face.

After use

Perform the following activities after use:
WARNING

► Do not switch off respiratory protective device while the helmet is still
closed.

1. Take off the Dräger X-plore
8000 helmet with visor where the ambient air is
no longer contaminated.

2. Clean the Dräger X-plore
8000 helmet with visor (see chapter 4.1).

Cleaning and disinfecting

CAUTION
Potential damage to component parts!
► For cleaning and disinfecting only apply the described procedures and use
the specified cleaning agents and disinfectants. Other agents and
procedures, dosages and exposure times can damage component parts.
CAUTION
Health hazard!
The undiluted agents are damaging to health if they come into direct contact
with the eyes or skin.
► Wear goggles and protective gloves when working with these agents.
