Helmet with Visor
A protective foil is available as an accessory. The protective foil is fitted to the
visor with the press studs and protects it against scratches, paint particles and
dust.
In addition, earmuffs can be mounted on the helmet as an option. For
information on noise dampening, see chapter 9 Technical data.

Feature description

®
The Dräger X-plore 8000 helmet with visor consists of a safety helmet with a
visor and face cuff.
The safety helmet absorbs the energy of an impact through the partial
destruction or damaging of the helmet's shell. The visor protects the face
against solid and liquid particles. The face cuff fits the contours of the face. The
resulting overpressure prevents polluted ambient air from penetrating. Excess
air escapes through ventilation holes in the face cuff. A ventilation duct is
integrated in the safety helmet.
If a powered air purifying respirator or air line breathing apparatus is connected,
the filtered air is guided in front of the user's face through the ventilation duct.

Intended use

The Dräger X-plore 8000 helmet with visor is dedicated for use with the Dräger
®
X-plore 7300/7500 and Dräger X-plore
®
or the Dräger X-plore 9000 air line breathing apparatus. In the USA the Dräger
®
X-plore 8000 helmet with visor is only permitted to be used with Dräger X-
®
plore 8000 powered air purifying respirators.

The Dräger X-plore 8000 helmet with visor is also suitable for users wearing
glasses and beards.
