With Windows XP and Windows Vista, a mes-
sage appears that the driver software has failed
the Windows logo test during the installation of
the USB driver.
• Answer the question by clicking on the Continue in-
stallation button.
h Note!
You may not under any circumstances abort
the driver installation here, since otherwise the
new device will not be available in a functional
condition.
The operating system indicates that the device is availa-
ble after completing the installation.

• Connect the eBUS cable (4-pole helix cable) to the X30
diagnostics socket (4-pole eBUS Western socket) of
the eBUS-capable device and the USB adapter.
Caution!

Risk of damage! You may not connect the eBUS
cable to the 6-pole X6 diagnostics socket of a
boiler.
