SYMPTOM
Engine will not start.

Oil leaking from unit.
Detergent will not siphon.
Water flows back into detergent

trigger gun is locked in the OFF

Water is leaking under heat
exchanger coil.

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBABLE CAUSE
Engine problems.
Unit components are frozen.
Inadequate water supply.
Kink in water inlet hose.
Kink in high pressure discharge hose.
Water inlet screen obstructed.
Pump sucking air. (Prime eliminated)
Adjustable grip on dual lance is
not in high pressure mode.
Obstructed or worn spray nozzle.
Damaged or obstructed valve assy.
on pump.
Pump packings worn.
Unloader/bypass valve not operating
correctly.
Defective valve.
Water in oil.
Worn seals or o-rings.
Detergent strainer is not completely
submerged in detergent solution.
Detergent strainer obstructed.
Detergent hose cut, obstructed or
kinked.
Detergent adjusting knob turned to
closed position.
Adjustable grip on dual lance is
not in low pressure.
Nozzle assembly is plugged.
Ball & Spring in detergent strainer
is obstructed.
Trigger gun is malfunctioning.
Coil drain plug is not installed.
Safety relief device is relieving
caused by an unloader or pressure
switch malfunction.
REMEDY
Refer to the Engine Manual
accompanying your unit.
Allow to thaw. If any part of the unit
becomes frozen, excessive
pressure may build up in the unit
which could cause the unit to burst
resulting in possible serious injury to
the operator or bystanders.
Ensure hose is 3/4" diameter and
incoming water supply is turned on.
Remove kink.
Replace kinked high pressure hose.
Remove screen, clean or replace.
Tighten all water intake connections
Eliminate leaks in intake line.
Turn grip counterclockwise to
move to high pressure.
Remove, clean or replace.
Remove, inspect, clean or replace.
Replace packings.
Repair or replace.
Do not allow unit to operate in
bypass mode (with the trigger gun
closed) for more than three minutes.
Replace.
Change pump oil. Fill to proper
level.
Contact Service Department.
Check, submerge if necessary.
Inspect, clean or replace.
Inspect, clean or replace.
Open adjusting knob. Refer to
"Cleaning with Detergents" pg. 15.
Turn grip clockwise to move to low
pressure.
Clean or replace.
Remove, clean or replace.
Repair or replace.
Install.
1. Detect and correct unloader or
pressure switch problem.
2. Replace safety relief device.
NEVER run unit without safety
relief device. Doing so can
cause an explosion!
