General note
The cleaning and disinfecting of medical devices serves to protect the patient,
user, and third parties, and also to maintain the overall value (integrity & func-
tionality) of the medical devices.
Due to the product design and materials used, a defined limit for the maximum
possible number of reprocessing cycles cannot be determined. The service
life of medical devices is defined by their designed and intended function and
appropriate, careful handling.
Before returning for repair, defective products must have undergone the pre-
scribed cleaning and disinfection process.

2.7. Cleaning and disinfection

In order to avoid possible cross-contamination, the examination lamps must be
cleaned and disinfected regularly.
The diagnostic penlight can be cleaned on the outside using a damp cloth (if
necessary, moistened with alcohol) until they are visually clean. Wipe with di-
