Any usage outside of applications defined by Somfy constitutes non-compliance, and
is therefore not covered by the guarantee. In this event, as for all usage not consis-
tent with the instructions given herein, Somfy accepts no responsibility for harm or
damage.

2.2 General safety advice

The safety instructions that must be observed, in addition to the usual rules, are
explained in these instructions and in the attached "Safety Instructions" document.
2.2.1 Oximo RTS module
1) Never immerse the Oximo RTS module in liquid.
2) Never pierce the Oximo RTS module.
3) Never cut the aerial.
4) Never damage the aerial.
Caution! Risk of electric shock.
2.2.2 S tubular module
1) Never submerge the S tubular module in liquid.
2) Avoid impacts!
3) Do not drop it!
4) Never pierce the S tubular module.
5) Never use the S tubular module without the
Oximo RTS module. These two components are
inseparable and cannot operate independently
from each other.
2.3 Specific safety advice
2.3.1 Roller shutter
Check the strength of the roller shutter and its
-
fittings.
The roller shutter must be fitted with:
• end stops screwed into the last slat, fixed (A) or
removable (B) stops incorporated in the runners
or an end slat acting as an end stop,
• bolts or rigid links (C).
Check that the motor used is suitable for the size
-
of roller shutter, to avoid the risk of damaging the
roller shutter and/or the Somfy product.
Caution: For information about the compatibility of
the motor with the roller shutter and accessories,
contact the roller shutter manufacturer or Somfy.
