Setting instructions

Winding and time setting:
The winding and time-setting crown (I) can be placed in two positions
A and B.
A: Pushed down against the case, position for winding and using the
chronometer functions.
This is the normal position when the watch is being worn and
guarantees the best water-resistance.
The power-reserve hand (4) lets you monitor how much the watch is
wound. When it is close to the minimum, wind the watch by rotating
the winding and time-setting crown (I) through several turns.
IMPORTANT: Do not force the mechanism when you feel resistance
increasing to avoid damaging the mechanism.
N.B.: - This watch is fitted with a special system which limits winding
of the mainspring in order to use the zone where residual force is most
constant. When winding reaches the preset maximum, the rotor is
blocked and winding stops. It will resume automatically when further
winding becomes necessary.
- When the watch has been fully manually wound, the power
reserve hand (4) will exceed the maximum of the power reserve
indicator. For it to re-index itself on zero of the indicator, the watch
must be stopped, or in other words, be out of power.
B: Time setting position.
When pulled out in this position, rotation of the winding and time-
setting crown (I) allows the time to be set. Then push the winding and
time-setting crown (I) back to position A to restart the watch.
12
It is generally preferable to set the time by advancing the hour and
minute hands (1 and 2) in the clockwise direction. The hands can
however be moved backwards provided you end the adjustment by
advancing them.
Chronograph functions
This function is useful for timing short events simultaneously.
When you press the chronograph push-piece (II), the split-seconds
hand (6) stays superimposed above the seconds hand of the
chronograph (5), merging with it. This is the same when the seconds
hand of the chronograph (5) is stopped as well as when it is reset.
IMPORTANT: To avoid the mechanism's accelerated wear, it is strongly
recommended not to leave the chronograph running continuously.
N.B.: The split-seconds chronograph function must only be used
when the power reserve hand (4) is between the ¾ and the 1 of the
power reserve indicator.
1
press on pushpiece (II):
st
Starts the chronograph seconds hand (5), split-seconds hand (6) and
chronograph minute hand (7).
1

Stops the split-seconds hand (6). The chronograph seconds hand (5)
and chronograph minute hand (7) continue timing.
2
press on pushpiece (III):

The split-seconds hand (6) catches up with the chronograph seconds
hand (5) and timing continues.
2
