2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Electrical safety:
DANGER! Electric shock!
Before starting up the pump make sure that:
- The pump must not be used when people are in the water.
- Make sure that the electrica| plug and socket connections are fitted in an area which cannot flood.
And protect power plug from moisure.
- Check out if there is any damage to the pump, especially to the cable and plug. A damaged pump
mustn't be used any way.
- The pump must be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) having a raled residual opera-
ting current not exceeding 30 mA.
- The mains supply voltage matches the voltage indicated on the pump identification plate.
Attention to your operating:
- Never carry the pump by its cable and do not pull the cable to disconnect it. For submerging, lifting
or securing the pump, fix a rope to the pump's carrying handle is the correct choice.
- Do not pull out the power cable from the socket as a method of turning the pump
- Check out if the outlet and the inlet of the pump clog. Clear the oudet and the inlet when need.
Automatic protection for safety:
- Thermal molor protector: The pump is automatically switched off on overheating by the built-in
therma| motor protector. After having cooled down the motor automatically switches on again.
- Automatic Air bleed valve: The automatic air bleed va|ve eliminates any air pockets in the pump.
Note: The position of vent hole may be different in some models.
Main power cables must not have a smaller cross-section than the rubber-shealhed cables of the
designation H05RN-F while the pump without power cable lighter than 5kg and the designation
H07RN-F while the pump without power cable heavier than 5kg.
Tha cable lenght must be at leat 10m.
During this process, air escapes through the plastic plug on the
pump and air bubbles appear underwaler, This is not a defect of
your pump, but serves to deaerate the pump, but serves to remove
air from the pump. It may tahe several seconds for the air to esca-
pe when the pump is immersed for the first time.
