6. Close drain valve (clockwise).
WARNING: Risk of property damage. Over tightening the Unloader
Valve knob can cause damage to the unloader valve.
7. Allow compressor to reach cut-out pressure. If compressor does
not stop, contact a D
WALT service center or call 1-800-4-D

for assistance.
IMPortAnt: Always turn unloader valve knob counter-clockwise until
it stops before moving the On/Off switch (C) to the OFF position.

1. Ensure the On/Off switch (C) is in the OFF position.
2. Plug the power cord into the correct branch circuit receptacle. See
Voltage and Circuit Protection under Installation.
3. Open the drain valve (counter-clockwise).
4. Move the On/Off switch to the ON position. The compressor will
start.
notE: Compressor must be running when performing the
following operation
5. Turn knob on unloader valve (H) fully counter-clockwise until fully
open.
notE: After the compressor reaches cut-out pressure the unit
will continue to run but will not build additional tank pressure until
the air is used and the unloader valve reset pressure is reached.
A slight air noise may be heard while the air is being unloaded
through the pump head.
6. Close drain valve (clockwise).
WARNING: Risk of property damage. Over loosening the unloader
valve knob can cause damage to the unloader valve.
7. The compressor is now in constant run mode. If compressor shuts
off, contact a D
WALT service center or call 1-800-4-D

assistance.
notE: For proper operation the unloader valve cut-out pressure must
be below the pressure switch cut out pressure.
Shut-down
IMPortAnt: Always turn unloader valve knob clockwise until it
stops before moving the On/Off switch (C) to the OFF position when
WALT
unit is in the constant run mode.

1. Move On/Off switch (C) to the OFF position. notE: If finished
using compressor, follow Steps 2 - 6.
2. Turn regulator knob (F) counterclockwise until fully closed. Ensure
regulated pressure gauge reads 0 psi.
3. Remove hose and accessory.
4. Drain the air tank, see Draining Air tank under Maintenance.
Ensure air tank pressure gauge reads 0 psi.
WARNING: Risk of bursting. Water will condense in air tank. If not
drained, water will corrode and weaken the air tank causing a risk of
air tank rupture.
5. Allow the compressor to cool down.
6. Wipe air compressor clean and store in a safe, non-freezing area.
