MAINTENANCE
If your bike is equipped with a threadless headset, see a qualified spe-
cialist in repairs and adjustments.
ADJUSTMENT
Loosen the upper lock nut of the headset or remove it completely along
with the support of the reflector if placed. Turn the body in a clockwise
direction until it is adjusted.
Replace the Lock washer or the mounting of the reflector and retighten
the upper lock nut with proper wrench.
Do not over tighten, might damage the bearing.
Always make sure that the headset is properly adjusted and that the
headset locknut is fully tightened before riding the bicycle.
If you tighten the stem bolt or assemble the headset in excess, you
may damage the bike and / or injury the rider.
SADDLE E SEATPOST
INSPECTION
The fixation screw on the saddle and the fixation screw on the sad-
dle seatpost should be monthly reviewed to ensure that they are well
placed and tightened. If you take the saddle seatpost from the frame
you will see a mark about 65mm above the bottom with the words
"maximum height "or "minimum insertion".
To prevent damage to the saddle seatpost, or potentially to the cyclist,
the minimum insertion mark must be inside the frame.
LUBRICATION
Remove the seatpost saddle from the frame and clean any greasy
stains, rust or dirt.
Then apply small amount of fat on the new part that fits into the frame.
Insert, press to adjust the saddle seatpost on the frame.
ADJUSTMENT
As previously mentioned, the saddle height, angle and distance from
the handlebar can be adjusted to suit the preferences of each rider.
The angle of the saddle is a matter of personal preference, but is usually
in a more comfortable position when the top of the saddle is almost
parallel to the floor or slightly raised in front.
The saddle can also be adjusted by sliding forward or backward on the mounting rails to reach the han-
dlebar with greater convenience.
When you place the saddle seatpost, place it beneath loosely. Set it in the desired angle and position,
and tighten the clamp mechanism.
There are two types of frequent use saddle clamps. The most common employs a steel clamp with hex-
agonal nuts on each side to tighten. The other type, known as micro-adjustable clamp, uses an single
Allen screw head vertically mounted to tighten. After putting the saddle on the seatpost in the desired
position, adjust the height to the required level and tighten the screw.
Keep in mind that the fixation screw can be a hexagonal screw, an Allen head screw or a quick-release
mechanism. The saddle seatpost quick release mechanism is the same for the hubs with quick release
