Mounting the Side Kit
The Side Kit is purchased separately from the cabinet. It is used to
finish the sides of a surface mounted or partially recessed cabinet.
Note that the Side Kit must be installed before the Cold Storage
unit is installed into the cabinet.
To install the MTSK30D8 or MTSK30D8SR Side Kit:
1. Attach Side Kit to sides of cabinet (top and bottom) by threading
two Pan Head #10 X ½" (12.7 mm) screws and two Flat Head
#10 X ½" (12.7 mm) screws from inside cabinet box on the hinge
side into Side Kit as shown in Figure G. Use four Flat Head
#10 X ½" (12.7 mm) screws on the non-hinge side of the cabinet.
(See Figure D on page 4 for hole locations.)
How to Semi-Recess Mount Cabinets
IMPORTANT!
The rough opening must be framed on all
four sides with wood studs and at least 4"
(101.6 mm) deep.
Electric wire must be roughed-in prior

page 8).
1. Place the individual or connected boxes (see also
"How to Gang Mount Cabinets" on page 7) into the
rough opening and make sure the bottom is level.
2. Install a #10 X 2" (50.8 mm) or #10 X 3" (76.2 mm)
Pan Head (SMS/ Wood Screw) screw through top
mounting hole in cabinet (see Figure D, page 4 for
hole locations) and screw into wall stud as show in
Figure H. Do not overtighten screw.
On non-hinge side use the #10 X 2"
NOTE:
(50.8 mm) Flat Head wood screws.
3. Determine that the cabinet is square and plumb,
then install a #10 X 2" (50.8 mm) or #10 X 3"
(76.2 mm) Pan Head (SMS/Wood Screw) screw
through bottom hole and screw into wall stud.
Do not overtighten screw.
On non-hinge side use the #10 X 2"

4. Place the grey Screw Head Caps over the Pan Head
screw heads.
5. Make the electrical connections (see "Wiring the
Electric" on page 8 for more information).
6. Install the Side Kit (see above for instructions).
7. Complete the final assembly as described in "Final
Assembly" on page 9.
8. Mount the doors following the instructions supplied
with the hinge and shown in Figure P on page 10.
Open and close the doors to check their operation.
