Locate the Installation Template. One side of
the template is for a 2 story ladder, the other
side is for a 3 story ladder. Align the center
circle mark crosshair on the top dashed line of
the template with the center point you marked
in Step 1, secure the template with a piece of
tape to temporarily hold in place.

Use a level to ensure that the dashed line on
the top of the template is level. Adjust as
needed and re-tape on all four corners.

Use the point of a nail and insert the tip in
each circle X mark on the top and bottom
dashed lines on the template to make a small
puncture mark in the wall. These marks will
serve as the guide for your top and bottom
lines when you cut the sheetrock.
Use the same nail to mark the four corners
of the inner 4" box.
Use a level or other straight edge to connect
the four corner marks of the 4" box directly
onto the wall.
