Alarm function
NOTE: Important!
The alarm time cannot be set, activated or deactivated whilst the unit is searching for a
radio signal.
Setting of the Alarm
You can set two alarm times. Proceed as follows:
1.	 Press	the	ALM	SET	button	(3)	for	approximately	3	seconds.	The	display	shows	"AL1"	
and	the	number	of	the	actually	set	alarm	time	starts	to	flash.
2. Use the buttons UP (8) and DOWN (7) for setting.
3.	 Press	the	ALM	SET	button	for	confirmation.	The	minutes	start	to	flash.
4. Use the buttons UP and DOWN for setting.
5. Press the ALM SET button to set the second alarm time. Proceed as described above
for the setting.
NOTE:
•	 If	you	want	to	set	only	the	first	alarm	time,	press	the	ALM	SET	button	until	the	
time is displayed again.
•	 Press	the	ALM	SET	button	to	display	the	set	alarm	times	for	a	short	time.
Activate alarm times
You can activate the first or second alarm or both together.
1.	 When	the	time	is	displayed,	briefly	press	the	ALM	SET	button	(3).	The	message	"AL	1"	
appears on the display in place of the seconds display.
2. Press the UP button (8) to activate the first alarm time. The " " symbol appears on the
display.
3. Press the ALM SET button again. The message "AL2" appears on the display.
4. Press the UP button to also activate the second alarm time. The " " symbol appears
on the display.
5. Press the ALM SET button again to return to the time display.
A beep will sound when the set alarm time is reached. The intensity of the beep increases
slowly.
NOTE:
If the alarm is not interrupted, the beep switches off by itself after two minutes.
