6.1.1 In general
Before any maintenance operation:
•
Switch the battery (1) off.
•
Disconnect the cable (12) from the battery (1).
•
Wear heavy-duty protective gloves.
6.1.2

Blade group adjustment

Select SERR mode in the 2nd menu.
Tighten or loosen the nut (23).
Check the result at least twice by pulling the trigger (15).
1 flashing square = too little tightened
2 - 3 fixed squares = exactly tightened
4 flashing squares = too much tightened
After having carried out the adjustment, exit from the 2nd menu by keeping the selector button (22) pressed for 2-3 seconds.
6.1.3

Blade sharpening

•
After the first half an hour of use it is compulsory to sharpen the cutting blade (17) by means of the stone supplied.
•
Every 3 hours of use re-sharpen the cutting blade (17) slightly.
•
To carry out a perfect blade sharpening:
1.Keep a 45° angle from the cutting blade (picture I).
2.Follow the cutting edge from its inner to its outer part.
3.Repeat the operation 8-9 times.
WARNING!
Never sharpen either the anvil (18) or the rear part of the cutting blade (17).
6.1.4

Cutting blade replacement

Carry out the operations in the following order:
•
Remove the screws (13) and the cover for the blade replacement.
•
Unscrew the nut (23) and remove the washers (31).
•
Remove the blade-drive gear (24) and the cutting blade (17).
•
Replace the cutting blade (17).
•
To re-assemble it, follow the operations in reverse
•
Adjust the tightening through the SERR mode (see par. 5.1).
6.1.5

Anvil replacement

Carry out the operations in the following order:
•
Remove the cutting blade (17) (see par. 6.1.4).
•
Unscrew the blade pin (25).
•
Remove the screw (29).
•
Replace the anvil (18).
To reassemble it:
•
Insert the blade pin (25) into the shear housing and screw it into the anvil (18) adding Loctite type 243 or similar onto the
threading. Carry out a 20 Nm tightening.
•
Align the fixing hole of the anvil (18) with the housing threading.
•
Tighten the screw (29) by adding Loctite type 243 or similar and carry out a 6-7 Nm tightening.
•
Assemble the cutting blade (17) (see par. 6.1.4).
WARNING!
It is not allowed to open the shear housing. All operations which can be performed by the operator autonomously are
to be carried out just removing the cover.
