Failures, causes and remedies
CAUSES
No voltage in the motor cable.
The fuses are burnt out.
Motor cable interrupted.
Motor broken.
The motor was incorrectly connected.
The rotating part is hindered.
The power supply voltage does not match that shown
on the motor plate.
A cable is grounded or has a short-circuit.
The winding is grounded.
Cable terminals loose.
The rotating part is blocked.
Excessive amount of sand in the water.
Density and/or viscosity of liquid too high.
The pump was not correctly filled with liquid.
The intake pipe is narrow or has leaks.
The foot valve is clogged.
Impeller obstructed.
The level in the well is lower than anticipated.
Incorrect rotation direction.
Leaks in the delivery pipe.
Inside parts worn.
Air or gas in the water.
Pump operating with head too low.
Mechanical parts worn.
System NPSH is insufficient.
The pump is operating in an irregular manner and/or vibrates and there is leakage from the seal

10. Spare parts
Use only original spare parts. To order spare parts, refer to the catalogues or contact the SAER Technical Assistance
specifying the kind of pump, the serial number and the year of manufacture (all these data are to be found in the
identification plate).
PROBLEMS
The motor doesn't start and there is no noise or vibration

Insufficient or no flow rate
Head less than declared
The pump operates irregularly and/or vibrates
Leakage from the seal or pump
REMEDIES
Check the device and/or electric line.
Replace the fuses with others of the same value.
Repair or replace the cable.
Replace the motor.
Correct the incorrect connection (see "Electrical
connection").
Disassemble and remove the cause.
Change voltage or motor.
Repair or replace the cable.
Disassemble the motor and repeat the winding or
replace the motor.
Tighten all the terminal clamps.
Disassemble and remove the cause.
Reduce the flow rate using the delivery shutter.
Contact the manufacturer.
Fill the pump.
Replace the pipe or gasket.
Clean or replace the valve.
Disassemble and overhaul.
Adjust the flow rate of the pump to that of the well.
Change the rotation direction.
Replace the damaged pipe or gasket.
