Mounting
The IN4000 Standard safety system is only allowed
to be fitted by authorised specialist personnel.
Select the mounting location and the mounting posi-
tion of the safety switch such that
• the safety switch is difficult for operators to access
when the protective device is open,
• it must be possible to check and replace the safety
switch
Bypassing the inductive safety switch by simple
means or unintentional actuation must be prevented
by appropriate installation features as per
EN ISO 14 119.

Mounting the IN40-D0101K safety
switch
The IN40-D0101K safety switch is not allowed to be
mounted flush in steel.
• The IN40-D0101K safety switch can be installed in
copper, aluminium and brass either flush or surface
mounted; this type of mounting results in the cate-
gorisation I1C40SP2 as per EN 60 947-5-2.
• The IN40-D0101K safety switch is not allowed to
be mounted flush in steel; this type of mounting
results in the categorisation I2C40SP2 as per
EN 60 947-5-2.
