14.2 Emergency release
The emergency release ensures that the door can be
opened from inside the garage and manually from
outside in the event of a fault on the garage door
operator (e.g. power failure).
Checking the function (inside)
• Stand inside the garage and completely close the
door using the garage door operator.
• Activate the emergency release by pulling the cord
F1, above the twist grip (F3) (see M7, page 115). It
must be possible to easily open the door by hand.
Checking the function (outside)
• Stand outside the garage and completely close the
door using the garage door operator.
• Activate the emergency release by turning the door
handle (F3) (see M7, page 115). It must be possible
to easily open the door by hand.
14.3 Additional safety equipment
Checking (e.g. light barrier) for faultless function in
accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
15 Operation
CAUTION: These operating instructions must
be read in full and fully understood before
operation.
Keep the inner and outer pivoting ranges clear while
the door is opened and closed. Keep children away.
The door movement can be activated or stopped using
the supplied hand-held transmitter or optionally
connectible switching elements (e.g. key-operated
switch).
Functional principle: Sequential control of pulses: start
- stop - start, etc.
Do not operate garage door operator unless a
door is attached. Otherwise the control
system will be taught in incorrect force values.
Malfunctions may occur.
16 Additional devices
16.1 Light barrier

between connections 4+5).
