7 Safety equipment

The garage door operator has the following
safety equipment. These cannot be removed and
their operation cannot be impaired.
• Automatic power shutdown (shutdown force) in the
"CLOSED" and "OPEN" functions
• Connection for additional safety equipment
• Obstacle detection
• Emergency release (see M7, page 115)

8 Preparation for installation

• See A1 and A4 on pages 110 and 111.
• Install grounded socket (10 to 50 cm away from drive
head).

9 Assembly

• For assembly of garage door operator see M1 to M8,
beginning on page 111 (similar images).
• For the assembly of optional additional devices see
Section 16.

10 Commissioning

Once assembly is complete
• Ensure that the door is attached to the garage door
operator (M8 on page 116).
• Establish mains connection, self test is performed,
LED (1 green) flashes.
• Teach in garage door operator (see Section 11).
• Teach in hand-held transmitter (see Section 12).
• Perform safety check (see Section 14).

11 Teaching in garage door operator

WARNING: No protection is provided by
obstacle detection while the garage door
operator is being taught in!
Do not press any other buttons during the
teaching in process.
A) Preparation

• If necessary, attach door to the garage door operator
and disconnect mains plug, where required.
POWER
B) Activating teach-in mode
• Insert mains plug, self test is performed, LED (1
green) flashes.
• Once the self test is finished (LED (2 red) flashes
slowly), press and hold the CANC button (5).
• At the same time, press and hold the TEST button
(6), until LED (1 red) and LED (2 green) flash rapidly.
• Wait until both LEDs (1 red and 2 green) flash slowly.
Teach-in mode is activated.
C) Teaching in door OPEN position
• Press and hold TEST button (6), until the door is
approx. 10 cm before the OPEN end position.
• Move door in button operation, using TEST button
(6), to the desired OPEN end position.
• Press the CANC button (5), LED (1 red) briefly lights
up to confirm that the door OPEN position has been
stored.
If LED (1 red) does not light up, disconnect mains
plug and start teach-in process again (starting
from A).
D) Teaching in door CLOSED position
• Press and hold TEST button (6), until the door is
approx. 10 cm before the CLOSED end position.
• Move door in button operation, using TEST button
(6), to the desired CLOSED end position.
• Press the CANC button (5), LED (1 red) briefly lights
up to confirm that the door CLOSED position has
been stored.
If LED (1 red) does not light up, disconnect mains
plug and start teach-in process again (starting
from A).
E) Teaching in forces
• Briefly press TEST button (6), the door moves once
into each end position, OPEN and CLOSED. During
this process, the control system stores the required
forces. Subsequently, LED (1 red) flashes. The
garage door operator is taught in. The values are
stored even in the event of a power failure.
