12 Teaching in/deleting hand-held
transmitters

Teach in the hand-held transmitter.
Maintain a minimum distance of 1 metre
between the control system and the hand-held
transmitter.
• Press PROG button (4), LED (7) lights up red for
approx. 30 seconds (ready for teaching in).
• Press the selected hand-held transmitter button, the
LED (7) flashes and the hand-held transmitter button
is taught in.
If more than 8 hand-held transmitters are taught
in, then the hand-held transmitter taught in first is
deleted from the memory.
Deleting (all) hand-held transmitters
• Press and hold PROG button (4) until the LED (7)
lights up (approx. 10 seconds) and then goes out
again. All stored hand-held transmitters are deleted.
13 Adjusting shutdown force
CAUTION: Changing the setting for the closing
force may, in the event of the door coming into
contact with an obstacle, lead to injury to
persons.
For this reason, the closing force should only be
increased by a competent
person. After the adjustment, compliance with the
normative values must be proved using a suitable
measuring device and documented.
The power shutdown setting can be adjusted by 8
levels to suit the door. Every time the force setting is
manually adjusted, the function of the obstacle
detection/power shutdown must be checked. Manually
changing the force setting may only be carried out by

an expert with a measurement check in accordance
with EN 12445. A change of the force settings must be
documented in the inspection log book.
Factory setting for shutdown force is level 5.
The shutdown force set is

Setting shutdown force
• Hold down POWER button for > 3 seconds. The set
shutdown force is displayed. Each time you press the
POWER button the shutdown force increases by one
level. Press the CANC button to store.
14 Safety check
The garage door operator must be fully installed
and taught in before a safety check is
performed.
14.1 Obstacle detection
The obstacle detection is a function that ensures that
the door movement is stopped and then reversed
(change of running direction) if the door encounters an
obstacle.
Checking the function
• Open door completely.
• Place an obstacle, at least 50 cm high, on the floor in
the pathway of the door.
• Activate door closing. When the door encounters the
obstacle it must be stopped and then move a short
way in the OPEN running direction.
