2. Preparation of each clamp (fig 9, item 12):
• remove the screw (fig 9, item 12.2) from the clamp
• unscrew the screws (fig 9, item 12.3 and 12.4) from
the clamp.
3. Assembling the clamps on the plate:
• check the corrugation of the tray
• identify the holes for the installation of the clamps.
(fig. 12), always recommend the external holes
(shaded areas fig. 12.1). For each identified hole
take its symmetry in relation to A. (fig. 12.1)
• install each clamp on the identified holes.
• then set up and manually tighten the HM8 screw
(fig. 9, item 12.2).

5.4.6. Placing and fixing the assembled plate on
standing seamed tray
1. Place the plate on the corrugations of the trays.
(fig. 12.1)
2. Check that the clamps are resting on the top of the
corrugations. (fig. 12.2)
3. Using the torque wrench (fig. 7, item 3) and the end
piece (fig. 7, item 5), tighten the set of screws (fig. 9,
item 12.3) for each clamp of the plate with a torque
of 9 N.m. (fig. 12.3)
4. Screw the other set of screws (fig. 9, item 12.4) for
each plate clamp with a torque of 9 N.m. Repeat
tightening torque check on the screws. (fig. 9,
item 12.4) (fig. 12.4)
5. Tighten the screws to torque (fig. 9, item 12.2) with
the torque wrench (fig. 7, item 3) and the end piece
(fig. 7, item 4) with a tightening torque of 25 N.m.
(fig. 12.5)
→ Plate installed.

6. Maintenance and storage

The travflex™ 2 mounting plates covered by this
manual must be stored and transported in their original
packaging.
During storage and/or transport, the mounting plates
must be:
• Kept dry,
• Kept at a temperature of between –35°C and +80°C,
• Protected against chemical, mechanical and any
other type of attack.
7. Marking
All the travflex™ 2 mounting plates are marked as
follows:
g: Serial Number
d: XXXXXX: Product code.
h: A pictogram indicating that it is necessary to read the
instruction manual before use.
a: The trademark.
b: The product designation.
o: Minimum breaking strength of plate.
8. Periodic Inspection and Maintenance
An annual periodic review is mandatory, but depending
on the frequency of use, environmental conditions and
regulations of the company or country of use, periodic
reviews may be more frequent.
Periodic reviews must be carried out by an authorised
and competent technician and in accordance with the
manufacturer's inspection procedures transcribed in
the «TRACTEL
PPE Verification Instructions» file.

Verification of the legibility of the marking on the product
is an integral part of the periodic review. After the
periodic review, the return to service must be notified
in writing by the authorised and competent technician
who performed the periodic review. This return to
service of the product must be recorded on the control
sheet located in the middle of this manual. This control
sheet should be kept for the life of the product until it
is recycled.
After arresting a fall, this product is subject to periodic
review as described in this section. Any textile
components of the product must be changed, even if
they have no visible alteration.
9. Lifespan
Tractel
webbing PPE including harnesses, lanyards,
®
cords and absorbers, Tractel
including stopcable™ and stopfor™ fall arresters
and blocfor™ automatic return fall arresters, Tractel
lifelines and mounting interfaces including Tractel
mounting plates are usable provided that, as of their
date of manufacture, they have been:
– used normally in observance of the guidelines given
in this manual,
– covered by an annual periodic inspection by a
qualified technician, and, following the inspection,
the PPE, lifeline or interface have been declared in
writing as suitable for service,
– stored and transported in strict compliance of the
guidelines given in this manual.
10. Disposal
When disposing of the product, it is mandatory to
recycle the various components by sorting the metallic
materials and by sorting the synthetic materials.
These materials must be recycled by specialised
organisations. On disposal, the dismantling, for the
