5.1 - HIGHER SHIFTING PRECISION IN IDLER SPROCKETS
The end adjustment of the cable spoke
tension allows the alignment of the
upper wheel of the rear derailleur with
sprockets: this adjustment can be per-
formed with the rear derailleur adjuster
screw.
Place the front derailleur on the 5°
sprocket starting from the smallest one
and observe the rear derailleur and the
sprocket pack from the rear part of the
bicycle:
- if the upper wheel is on the right side
of the sprocket and/or the rear derail-
leur fails to rise on the largest sprocket,
turn the adjuster screw anticlockwise
(unscrew) (F - Fig. 2) to move the rear
derailleur inwards
- if the upper wheel is on the left side
of the sprocket and/or the rear derail-

leur fails to fall on the smallest spro-
cket, turn the adjuster screw clockwise
(tighten) to move the rear derailleur

outwards.
