Connecting cables

5.4.1

Connecting cable requirements

Incorrect connecting cables can result in malfunctions or
damage to the device. As far as possible use connecting
components and connecting cables from SICK AG. The
connecting cables must meet the following conditions:
Wire cross-section min.
R max.
C max.
L max.
5.4.2

Maximum cable lengths

Chains of switches up a total maximum of 200 m cable
length are permissible, if the voltage drop due to the
output resistance is taken into account (see table with
example data below and example installation).
