ANTI-SPLINTER EDGE
To minimize splintering of the workpiece, a
worn edge should be replaced. The anti-
splinter edge comes in a roll that is 11 feet
(3.35m) long and can be cut to size for any
given track.
A.
Pull out both end caps
remove the worn out anti-splinter edge.
(Fig. 18).
B.
Unroll and cut a length of
edge 42
that is 1% longer than the
length of the track. E.g. for FSN800 the
length of strip should be 80.8cm/31.8"
(Fig. 18).
C.
Place a light coating of soap on the
new edge to make it easier to slide in
the grooves on the bottom side of track
(Fig. 19).
D.
Pull the edge though the groove to the
far end of the track. Cut off the excess
strips. To help prevent the anti-splinter
strip from shifting, press one of the
spikes
51
strip at each end. Bend the spike's
handle down to break off the handle
(Fig. 20).
E.
Re-insert the end caps
F.
See "Preparing Track" section on page
16 about adapting the anti-splinter edge
to a given saw and blade.
CARRY BAG
The rugged bag accepts two FSN1600
tracks (or shorter) and has a pocket for a
Connector and/or a pair of the track quick
clamps.
