9 Troubleshooting
Risk of injury and machine damage when handled by unauthorized persons

The following faults may occur during operation:
Fault
ABIDRIVE CW is not ready
for operation.
Wire is not fed.
No welding arc.
Torch body or power source
overheating.

Cause
• Main switch is switched off
• Mains connection interrupted
• Motor is defective
• Fault of the motor control card
• Power supply to the workpiece
• Power source or control system
• Control lead interrupted
• Insufficient flow of coolant
• Welding current too high
• Coolant hose or liquid-cooled
• Tungsten electrode loose

Solution
• Switch on ABIDRIVE CW
• Establish mains connection
• Switch unit to currentless state,
replace motor
• Replace motor control card
• Close the power circuit
• Repair
• Replace
• Check the proper function and
performance of the coolant
recirculator
• Reduce
• Check the flow and replace if
necessary
• Tighten with the torch cap
