NOTE: Please dispose of used motor oil in a manner that is friendly to
the environment. Take it to a recycling center or other collection center.
oil recommendations
When adding oil to the engine, refer to the viscosity chart below
(Figure 13). Engine oil capacity is 600 ml (approx. 20 oz.). Do not
over-fill. Use a 4-stroke, or an equivalent high detergent, premium qual-
ity motor oil certified to meet or exceed U.S. automobile manufacturer's
requirements for service classification SG, SF. Motor oils classified SG,
SF will show this designation on the container.
CaUtion
DO NOT use non-detergent oil or 2-stroke engine oil. It could shorten
the engine's service life.

Warning
DO NOT check for a spark with the spark plug removed. DO NOT
crank the engine with the spark plug removed.
Warning
If the engine has been running, the muffler will be very hot. Be careful
not to touch the muffler.
The spark plug should be checked every 25 hours and changed once
a season or every 100 hours. To ensure proper engine operation, the
spark plug must also be properly gapped and free of deposits.

Remove the spark plug boot and use a spark plug wrench to
remove the plug, Figure 14.

Visually inspect the spark plug. Discard the spark plug if there is
any apparent wear, or if the insulator is cracked or chipped. Clean
the spark plug with a wire brush if it is to be reused.
3.
Measure the plug gap with a feeler gauge. Correct as necessary by
bending the side electrode, Figure 15. The gap should be set to
.02-.03 inches (0.60-0.80 mm).
