Danger of explosion due to improper handling

⇒ The junction to/on the motor drive device must be
located outside of the area subject to explosions.
DANGER
Note: Observe the following when connecting the encoder:
• The encoder housing on the motor may no longer be
opened! Do not remove any of the screws on the encoder
housing.

⇒ The ground conductor on the motor must be
additionally connected to the protective conductor
WARNING
with a separate cable with 4 mm² cross-section.
The motors for areas subject to explosions have an additional ground lug
on the motor flange for this purpose. Use the grounding cable to connect
the ground-reference lug of the motor with the ground reference of the
machine or system and tighten the screw connection.
