4.4 Mounting the neck liner in the torch neck

4.5 Connecting the cable assembly

The original neck liners are cut to length. The length x depends on the torch
neck geometry:

3 Torch seat
4 Nut
1 Remove torch neck (5) from torch seat (3) by unscrewing the nut (4).
 for PP Plus 36D
2 Screw the retaining nipple (2) onto the neck liner (1).
3 Screw the mounted neck liner (1) into the torch neck (5).
 for PP Plus 401D/240D
4 Screw the complete neck liner (6) from the rear into the torch neck (5).
5 Fasten the torch neck (5) to the torch seat (3) by means of the nut (4).
1 Join central connector and central socket at the wire feed unit and secure
them with the connection nut.
2 Properly mount the connections for water supply/return, shielding gas and
control lead plug.
WARNING

Risk of burns

The welding torches will become overheated if the coolant level is too low.
• Wear protective gloves.
• Check the coolant level at regular intervals.
