8 Controlling the PTZ Camera with an Analog DVR (CVBS)
To connect the PTZ camera to an analog DVR (CVBS):
1. RS485: Connect the RS485 wires on the camera cable to a pair
of RS485 communication wires. Connect the other end of the
RS485 communication wires into the DVR's RS485 ports. Match
the polarity of the RS485 cables with the DVR's RS485 positive
and negative ports. The yellow wire connects to the positive
port and the orange wire connects to the negative port.
NOTE
To extend the PTZ control (RS485) wires beyond 100ft, pur-
chase a pair of 24–gauge wires.
2. Connect the power and BNC cables. See 3 Connecting the Cam-
era, page 4 for full connection instructions.
