c. Soak the foam element in clean engine oil and squeeze out the excess oil.
The engine will smoke during initial startup if too much oil is left in the
foam element.
d. Reinstall the foam element to the air cleaner cover.

4. Paper element:
If the paper element is dirty, replace it
with a new one. Do not clean the paper
element.
5. Reinstall the air cleaner cover.
6. Close and latch the left side
maintenance cover.
