8. MEASUREMENT OF RESISTANCE

 Set the switch to the  function : auto selection of the
2 ranges.
 Connect the red lead to the + terminal and the black
lead to the COM terminal then connect up to the
element to be measured.
 Memorise the measurement, if necessary, by pressing
one of the HOLD keys.
Warning : never make resistance measurement on
a live circuit.

9. AUDIO CONTINUITY TEST

 Set the switch to the
 Connect the red lead to the + terminal and the black
lead to the COM terminal and then connect up to the
element to be measured.
 If the resistance is less than 40 the buzzer emits
a continuous beep and displays the value of the
resistance.
Warning : never make continuity test on a live circuit.

10. DIODE TEST

 Set the switch to the
 Press the MAX button
 Connect the red lead to the + terminal and the black
lead to the COM terminal and connect up to the diode
to be tested.
 In the forward direction of the diode measured, the
reading is in V (calibre 4V).
 In reverse, the display indicates OL or voltage > 3.5V.
 It is therefore possible to test LEDS, in addition to
standard diodes, or any other semi-conductor below
the open circuit voltage, on this function.
 Memorise the measurement, if necessary, by pressing
one of the HOLD keys.
Warning : never make diode test on a live circuit.
