ROUTER SAFETY WARNINGS

Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces,
because the cutter may contact its own cord.
Cutting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of
the power tool "live" and shock the operator.
Use clamps or another practical way to secure and
support the workpiece to a stable platform. Holding
the work by your hand or against the body leaves it
unstable and may lead to loss of control.
If the product is provided for the connection of dust
extraction and collecting equipment, ensure these are
connected and properly used.
Always use bits of the correct shank diameter that are
suitable for the speed of the product.
Wear a face or dust mask.
Keep mains lead clear from working range of the
product. Always lead the cable away behind you.
Only move the workpiece in counter rotation to cutter
(only work oppositely oriented).
Never reach into the danger area of the machine when
it is running.
Chips and splinters must not be removed while the
machine is running.
WARNING
Always feed the product into the workpiece against the
rotation direction of the bit. If feeding with the rotation
direction of the bit, the rotational force of the spinning bit
will tend to throw the tool away from the workpiece. This
could result in loss of control of the product.

MAINTENANCE
WARNING
The product should never be connected to a power supply
when you are assembling parts, making adjustments,
cleaning, performing maintenance, or when the product
is not in use. Disconnecting the product will prevent
accidental starting that could cause serious injury.
WARNING
When servicing use only original manufacturer's
replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a
hazard or cause product damage.
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to various types of commercial
solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean
cloths to remove dirt, carbon dust, etc.
WARNING
Do not at any time let brake fl uids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. They contain chemicals that can
damage, weaken or destroy plastic.
Electric tools used on fiberglass material, wallboard,
spackling compounds, or plaster are subject to
accelerated wear and possible premature failure
because the fiberglass chips and grindings are highly
abrasive to bearings, brushes, commutators, etc.
Consequently, we do not recommend using this tool for
extended work on these types of materials. However, if
you do work with any of these materials, it is extremely
important to clean the product using compressed air.
WARNING
Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side
shields during power tool operation or when blowing
dust. If operation is dusty, also wear a dust mask.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced
only by the manufacturer or by an authorized service
center to avoid risk. Contact authorized service center.
For greater safety and reliability, all repairs should be
performed by an Authorised Ryobi Service Centre.
LUBRICATION
All of the bearings in the product are lubricated with a
suffi cient amount of high grade lubricant for the life span of
the product under normal operating conditions. Therefore,
no further lubrication is required.
