Three-level mode
Times of the currents are controlled manually; currents
are restored.
Four-level mode
With this mode, the operator can introduce an interme-
diate current and restore it during welding.
This symbol means that the welding torch trigger
must remain pressed for more than 0.7 seconds to
terminate welding.
SECTOR DF. Pulse see fig. 122.
Touch to select the relevant sector.
Select and confirm sector, see fig. 123.
Set the parameter selected from between Pulsed duty
cycle (%), Main current (A), Pulse level (%) and Pulse
frequency (Hz).
Confirm by pressing the knob and adjust to selected va-
lue (see fig. 124-125-126-127-128-129-130-131)
Press again to save and confirm choice.
Settings can also be adjusted from the parameter menu
(see fig. 132).
By selecting the XP icon, a very high-frequency pulsed
current is set to obtain a more concentrated arc. With

this type of pulse, the settings are fixed and defined (see
fig. 133).
SECTOR DI. MENU (see fig. 134).
PROCESS.
Touch the sector to select and choose
between TIG DC and TIG APC processes (see fig. 135).
ACCESSORIES.
See section in MIG process.
PARAMETERS.
Select and confirm the chosen parameter
from the following:
START MODE, torch trigger, see section in MIG process.
PREGAS DURATION, see section in MIG process.
POSTGAS DURATION, see section in MIG process.
GAS FLOW RATE, (active only with gas transducer ac-
cessory Item No 436).
• First Level Current (see settings table).
• First Level Duration (see settings table).
• Initial Ramp Duration (see settings table).
• Main Current (see settings table).
• Final Ramp Duration (see settings table).
• Crater current (see settings table).
• Crater Current Duration (see settings table).
• Pulsed (see explanation in pulse DF sector).
• EVO START (see fig. 136-137).
Touch the workpiece with the electrode tip, press the
welding torch trigger and raise the electrode tip. As the
electrode begins to lift, a current pulse is generated that
is adjustable from 0.1 to 1 seconds. This helps strike the
arc.
• APC regulation (Active Power Control see fig. 138-139).
Under this function, when the arc length is shortened,
the current increases, and vice versa; the operator then
controls the heat gain and penetration just by moving the
welding torch.
The current variation amplitude per unit of voltage is
adjustable by means of the APC
Regulation can also be carried out in the main screen
using knob I see fig. 140.
Pulsing is not active in this function.
