AR. Display.
This shows the value of magnitudes adjusted by
means of knob AN.
AW. Knob.
Selects LEDs AV AU AT and sets their value, showing
it on the display AS.
In synergic MIG/MAG welding processes, when LED
AT is on (welding voltage), the selection switches
automatically to LED AV (arc length).
AT. LED Welding voltage.
This indicates that the value shown on display AS is a
voltage expressed in volts.
With arc off, in MIG/MAG welding processes, the value
shown on display AS is a pre-set value. During the
welding process, the value shown on display AS is
always the voltage measured by the power source.
AU. LED Arc length.
In synergic MIG/MAG welding processes (MIG HD
excepted), this indicates that display AS shows the
value of the welding arc length correction. The 0 (zero)
value corresponds to the manufacturer preset arc
length. Knob AW can be used to adjust the value from
-9.9 to +9.9.
AV. LED Impedance.
In MIG/MAG welding processes, this indicates that
display AS shows the impedance value. The 0 (zero)
value corresponds to the manufacturer's preset
impedance. Knob AW can be used to adjust the value
from -9.9 to +9.9.
AS. Display.
This shows the value of magnitudes adjusted by
means of knob AW.
BA. LED Globular position.
In MIG/MAG synergic processes, this indicates that the
pair of current and voltage values chosen for welding
may generate arcs that are unstable and with ejected
materials.
BB. LED Hold.
This lights up automatically at the end of the welding
process to indicate that displays AR and AS show the
two most recent current and voltage measured values.
BD. JOB key.
Pressing this key calls up a stored welding point. The
AW knob is used to select the previously stored JOB
number.
BC. LED JOB.
This lights up when the BD key is selected.
BE. LED Remote control.
This lights up when any remote command is connected
to the connector E.
BG. LED Cooling unit.
It lights up when the cooling unit is on.
BF. Wire return key.
When this key is pressed, the motor rewinds the
welding wire by a few centimetres.
This operation takes place with no voltage present in
the torch and no gas flow.
BH. Wire test key.
When this key is pressed, the wire is fed up to 8 m/min
with no voltage present in the torch and no gas flow.
24
BL. Gas test key.
When this key is pressed, the gas flows out for 30
seconds. If pressed again during gas flow, the flow
stops.
BI. LED Quality control.
It lights up when the Quality Control accessory is
active and connected to the machine.
4 DESCRIPTION OF COOLING UNIT (OPTIONAL FOR
ITEM NO 372)
This cooling unit is designed to cool the torches used for
welding and must be used exclusively with these power
sources.
CD- Slot:
Slot to inspect the coolant fluid level.
CE - Cap.
CF - Quick-fitting valves:
Connect the red and blue hose of the welding torch. NB
Match the hose and valve colors correctly.
CG - Quick-fitting valves:
This is where the red and blue hoses of the power source/
trolley connection must be connected in machines with
separate wire feeder. NB Match the hose and valve colors
correctly.
CH – Fuse holder.
CI - Connection.
For coolant pressure protection.
CL - ON/OFF switch.
CM - Power cable.
4.1 WIRING.
For the extensions and protection devices wiring follow
the directions of the instruction manual provided with the
cooling unit.
4.2 DESCRIPTION OF PROTECTION DEVICES
4.2.1 Coolant pressure protection device.
This protection is achieved by means of a pressure
switch, inserted in the fluid delivery circuit, which con-
trols a microswitch. If the pressure is insufficient, the di-
splay shows flashing message H2O .
4.2.2 Fuse (T 2A/250V - Ø 5x20).
This fuse protects the motor pump, and is located in the
fuse holder CI on the rear panel of the welding ma-
chine.
4.3 START-UP.
Unscrew the cap CE and fill the tank (the equipment is
supplied with approximately one litre of fluid).
