Installation instructions:

1.) Dismantle the rear bumper and the bumper reinforcement (not applicable). If the towed-vehicle
assembly is removed at a later time, re-attach the bumper reinforcement to the vehicle.
Take out the spare wheel. Lift/remove the right boot floor cover next to the spare wheel well.
Remove the storage compartment from the back panel of the spare wheel well.
2.) Attach part 1 onto the vehicle. Loosely screw it on at "a" with the M10x1.25x25 screws and the
10.5x25x3 washers and at "b" with the M8 nuts and shackles 14.
Mark/punch the bore holes at "c" and "d" on the tail plate. Remove part 1 and drill/deburr the
marked bore holes with ø12 mm.
3.) Remove the stoppers at "e" from the spare wheel well.
Place reinforcement 3 in the spare wheel well. Cover the bore holes "c" and "d" and mark/punch
the bore holes "f", "j" and "k" on the car body. Remove reinforcement 3. Drill/deburr the marked
bore holes "f" and "j" with ø12 mm and the bore holes "k" with ø19 mm.
4.) Hold reinforcement 4 under the vehicle. Cover the bore holes "f" and "j" and mark/punch the bore
holes "g" and "k" on the car body. Remove reinforcement 4. Drill/deburr the marked bore holes "g"
and "k" with ø12 mm.
5.) Attach part 1 to the vehicle. Loosely screw it on at "a" (x4) with the M10x1.25x25 screws and the
10.5x25x3 washers and at "b" with the M8 nuts and shackles 14.
Place the spacer tubes 15 into the longitudinal beam from above at "k". Place reinforcement 3 in
the spare wheel well. Insert screws M10x1.25x110 with washers10.5x25x3 at "k" and use them to
attach the spacer tubes 15. Screw them on at "c" with screws M10x1.25x35, washers 10.5x25x3
and nuts M10x1.25 and at "d" with screws M10x1.25x50, washers 10.5x25x3 and nuts M10x1.25.
Attach reinforcement 4 under the vehicle and loosely screw it on at "k" with the previously inserted
screws M10x1.25x110, washers 10.5x25x3 and nuts M10x1.25. Then loosely screw in screws
M10x1.25x30, washers 10.5x25x3 and nuts M10x1.25 at "e" and "f" and screws M10x1.25x30,
washer 10.5x25x3, washer 10.5x34x4 and nut M10x1.25 at "g".
6.) Align the towed-vehicle assembly and tighten all screws and nuts.
Torque:
The screws M10(10.9) at "h" were tightened with a torque of 40 Nm by the manufacturer.
7.) Cut out the lower middle section of the bumper using the enclosed template. The line "YO"
corresponds to the center of the vehicle. Now mount the bumper to the vehicle. Re-attach the spare
wheel, the boot floor cover and the storage compartment of the vehicle.
