ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL CHECK

1. Empty the hopper (12, Fig. G); if it contains a small quantity of waste, it is not necessary to dump it.
Drive the machine on a solid and level ground, then engage the parking brake (7, Fig. E).

3. Lift the hopper (12, Fig. G), according to the procedure shown in the relevant paragraph.
Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.
4.
Open the right panel door (16, Fig. G) by releasing the fasteners (17) with the supplied key.
5.
Remove the lifted hopper locking pins (9, Fig. F) from the housings (10), and place them into the holes (11).

WARNING!
The coolant line is pressurized; do not perform any check until the engine has cooled down and, even if the
engine is cold, the tank plug (1, Fig. AF) must be opened with extreme care.
Check that the coolant level in the tank (2, Fig. AF) is between the minimum and maximum marks, as shown in the Diesel
7.
Engine Manual. If necessary, unscrew the plug (1) and top up.
Coolant components:
• 50% of AGIP antifreeze
• 50% of water
After top up, tighten the plug (1).
8. Perform steps 3 to 6 in the reverse order.

ENGINE FUEL FILTER REPLACEMENT

1. Empty the hopper (12, Fig. G); if it contains a small quantity of waste, it is not necessary to dump it.
Drive the machine on a solid and level ground, then engage the parking brake (7, Fig. E).

3. Lift the hopper (12, Fig. G), according to the procedure shown in the relevant paragraph.
Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

Open the left and right panel doors (4 and 16, Fig. G) by releasing the fasteners (5 and 17) with the supplied key.

Remove the lifted hopper locking pins (9, Fig. F) from the housings (10), and place them into the holes (11).
6.
Empty the dust control system water tanks (17 and 21, Fig. F) according to the instructions shown in the relevant paragraph.
7.
Remove the screw (23, Fig. F) and open the left tank (21) outwards.

WARNING!
Open the tanks (17 and 21, Fig. F) outwards, only if they are empty: each tank can contain approximately 265 lb
(120 kg) of water.
Replace the fuel filter as shown in the diesel engine Manual.

10. Perform steps 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 in the reverse order.
If necessary, fill the dust control system water tanks according to the procedure shown in Before Start-Up paragraph.

CAB AIR FILTER REPLACEMENT

Engage the parking brake (7, Fig. E).
1.
Turn the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.
2.
3. Inside the cab, remove the screw (1, Fig. AG), then remove the panel (2).
Unscrew the knobs (1, Fig. AH) and remove the panel (2).
4.
Remove the cab air filter (1, Fig. AI).
5.
Install the new filter (1, Fig. AI) with the arrows (2) pointing in the direction shown in the figure (direction of the air flow).
6.
7. Perform steps 3 and 4 in the reverse order.
