8. Adjust the welding current using the knob ( 8 ) . Check that the remote socket on
the power source is connected. If there is no control cable connected to the re-
mote socket on the power source then the current must be adjusted at the power
source. No more than 200 A should be supplied to the TIGAID unit.
9. Set the remote socket switch ( 11 ) to the top setting.
10. Position the welding torch in the start position, press the torch switch to start the
gas pre--flowing. The arc should then ignite and the current will slope up to the
set current.
11. When you release the torch switch (2 stroke setting) the current will slope down
to the base current and the arc will be extinguished. Gas should continue to flow
for the set time.
In 4 stroke mode slope--down will begin when the switch is pressed for the sec-
ond time, and after the slope--down time the relay will remain closed until you re-
lease the torch switch. The gas will then continue to flow for the set time.
Setting up for MMA
1. Set switch to ( 6 ) right position.
2. Check that power source is connected up for MMA.
3. Adjust the welding current using the knob ( 8 ). If there is no control cable con-
nected between the power source and the TIGAID unit the welding current must
be set at the power source.
