Secondary signal (present only on SL31205/PLUS)

Engines with distributor
Once the connections have been made (see chapter 2.6), start the engine.
• Select SCOPE from the INSTRUMENT SELECTION page and then select
COIL NEGATIVE SECONDARY.
The display shall indicate the type of secondary signal as shown in the figure.
If needed, adjust the Trigger level (synchronism) by pushing F3 on the initial page and
then F3 again; after that, use the arrow keys up and down to set the level.
Static ignition engines
Once the connections have been made (see chapter 2.7), start the engine.
•
Select SCOPE from the INSTRUMENT SELECTION page and then select
KILOVOLTMETER.
The display shows the spark plug peak voltage.
This operation is aimed at determining the spark plug polarity.
