Display of the signal

For the display of the signal make sure that:
•
The instrument is well connected to the vehicle to be tested.
•
The oscilloscope is properly set up.
During the reading of one signal the following is necessary:
•
Move the tested vehicle cables or the connections cables. If some irregularities are
detected on the displayed signal, the connection could be weak.
•
Make sure that the digital waveform are not troubled and have a square form.
•
Note if there are any irregularities (noise, troubles).
If no signal is detected there can be an open or a short-circuited signal.
In order to obtain the wished signals, make sure that:
•
The ground cable is connected to a good vehicle ground.
•
The cables are safely connected to the signal source.
