CALIBRATION (present only on SL31205/PLUS)

•
Select MULTIMETER from the INSTRUMENT SELECTION page and then select
CALIBRATION.
•
Follow the instruction on the screen to carry out the calibration.
•
Upon the first starting, the procedure is started automatically.
•
Periodically repeat the calibration.

IGNITIONS DIAGNOSIS

9.1-

Primary signal

The signal of the typical primary is that represented in the figure.
Such signal presents a peak of about 300 - 350 V and a combustion time
of about 1- 3 msec.
If the primary circuit does not have any problems, the signal represented in the figure
regularly repeats on the display.
An irregular display of one signal can be caused by a problem:
•
Connection between the coil and the ecu.
•
Connection between the coil and the power module.
•
Connection between the coil and the points.
•
Connection between the coil and the oscilloscope.
