36. USE ONLY GENUINE HITACHI HEAT TREATED
NAILS FOR HITACHI NR65AK.
Use only genuine HITACHI heat treated nails of (8d)
.131 × 1-1/2", (10d) .148 × 1-1/2", (10d) .148 × 2-1/2",
(16d) . 162 × 2-1/2" for HITACHI NR65AK to avoid
serious injury from ricocheting nails.
The use of any other nails and non-heat treated nails
could result in dangerous tool malfunction and/or nail
malfunction, causing serious injury.
37. ONLY FOR INSTALLATION PURPOSE OF PRE-
PUNCHED HOLED METAL CONNECTOR TO
WOOD STUD.

Ensure that this MANUAL is available to operators
and personnel performing maintenance.
2.
Ensure that Nailers are used only when operators and
others in work area are wearing EYE PROTECTOR.
3.
Enforce the use of EYE PROTECTOR by operators and
others in work area.

38. BEFORE EACH FIRING, BE SURE TO POSITION
AND INSERT THE FIRST NAIL POINT THROUGH
THE METAL HOLE.
This tool and nails are designed for metal connector
with pre-punched holes.
Drive nails into work surface only; never into materials
too hard to penetrate.
If the nail is not positioned and insert properly, it
could ricochet and hurt yourself or someone.
If you are not sure to position and insert the nail
through the metal hole, never drive nails.
Never drive nails into metal. Only drive into pre-
punched metal holes.
39. ALWAYS POINT FIRST NAIL PROTRUDED FROM
NOSE AWAY FROM YOURSELF AND OTHERS.
Keep your face, hands, feet and other body parts, as
well as those of other persons away from the nose
muzzle to avoid possible injury during use and
carrying.
4.
Keep Nailers in safe working order.
5.
Maintain Nailers properly.
6.
Ensure that Nailers which require repair are not
further used before repair.
