3.2. Conditions for connecting to the gas network
The premises for the installation of gas appliances must comply with the guidelines off the national legislation
in the particular Country. If the appliance is to be installed in another Country, the national regulations must be
observed during installation.
These fryers can be installed as:
Type A appliances: no connection to a flue evacuating outside burned gases; the room should be equipped with
means (fans or hoods) capable to keep healthy the environment avoiding concentrations of harmful substances.
Type B2 appliances: mandatory installation under hoods with safety interlock systems
The fryer should be placed in a location that is easily accessible, away from combustible objects and walls.
• The volume of the kitchen space should meet the dependence: appliance power (W) / (divided by) cubic
volume of the room (m
• Appliances adapted for propane-butane gas combustion cannot be installed below ground level (e.g. cel-
lars) and there must be no more than two 11 kg propane-butane cylinders in the room.
• The cylinders should be located at least 1.5 m (5 ft) from heat emitters (heaters, stoves, etc.), except for
the set with cylinder cabinets.
Caution: if the fryer is supplied by a gas cylinder, the compartment housing the cylinder should be separated
from the fryer body and should be correctly provided with openings to keep fresh and aired the environment
around the cylinder. The compartment should be designed to fit only one cylinder with a maximum load of 20
kg. The total thermal load of the device (sum of all burner load) should not exceed 12 kW
