TEBU, Control Timer Unit of Solenoid
It is applied for control cleanning or automatic bleeding
LAMA filtering systems use the timer unit to control the automatic cleaning or blee-
ding of the of the centrifugal filters and hydrocyclons.
To achieve this it is connected to a solenoid which controls the bleeding valve.
Operating
Power supply can be of any tension from 12 to 24 volts, either DC or 50/60 Hz AC.
It is connected to the three points terminal bloc on top (see picture).
The central point corresponds to the ground connection. Outer points, if AC is used,
can be connected to either phase, but when using DC the positive goes to the right point and the negative to the left
one. When the power supply is on the LED at the upper left is on.
The working mode is selected with the two central microswitchs from the group of eight (numbered 4 and 5) loca-
ted inside the device. In the case at hand, number 4 must be down (OFF) and number 5 up (ON).
The timing selection is done thru the three microswitchs at each side (time range) and the two potentiometers under
them (precise adjustment of the activation/deactivation periods). The potentiometers can be adjusted using a screw-
driver.
When the solenoids are active, the LED at the upper right is on, thus indicating they're working.
*As an example, let's suppose that we want to realize a ten seconds automatic bleeding, with a twenty five minu-
tes waiting period between cycles.
EN
First we'll adjust the Waiting time (
the desired range position, that is a minimum of 1,5 minutes and a maximum of 30 minutes: 6= up, 7= down, 8=
down. Then we'll turn the right potentiometer to a position near the maximum.
Next we'll adjust the Bleeding time (
it on for ten seconds we'll select the range from 0,5 seconds to ten seconds, switching the left microswitchs as follows:
1= down, 2=down, 3 = down. After this we'll adjust the left potentiometer to the maximum.
To be more precise we can use a chronometer and test different potentiometer settings.
NOTE : Since the output signal is constant, this dispositive is not adequate for its use with LATCH time solenoids.
This kind of solenoids need pulses at the start and ending of the cycle to work correctly.
