6.2 Operating the appliance for the first
time
1. Open the two catches.
2. Lift the vacuum cleaner top section away
from the waste material container.
3. Remove the accessories and packaging
from the waste material container.
NOTE If dry dust is to be collected, fit the
dust bag into the waste material container
in accordance with the instructions.
4. Fit the vacuum cleaner top section onto
the waste material container.
5. Close the two catches.
6. Check to ensure that the vacuum cleaner
top section is fitted correctly and secured.
7. Connect the suction hose to the appliance.
6.2.1 Fitting a dust bag for collecting dry

1. Open the two catches.
2. Lift the vacuum cleaner top section away
from the waste material container.
3. Insert the new dust bag in the waste ma-
terial container.
4. Press the dust bag sleeve firmly onto the
hose socket.
