5 Mounting
The unit can be placed on a firm, even surface. How-
ever, it can also be mounted to a vertical wall or sus-
pended from a crossbar via its mounting base (8). For
wall mounting two mounting holes are provided in the
bottom plate of the mounting base by which the bottom
plate may be suspended from wall hooks or screw
heads. In addition, there is an M8 thread in the bottom
plate e. g. for a fixing hook when mounting the unit to
lighting stand systems.
IMPORTANT
Always place the unit so that a sufficient air ventila-
tion is ensured during operation.
The unit must have a minimum distance of 15 cm
to adjoining surfaces and the air vents at the hous-
ing must not be covered in any case.
Pay in any case attention to a sufficient distance to
easily flammable material or material sensitive to
heat.
To align the unit, release the setscrew (5) at the
mounting base. Adjust the desired inclination of the
unit and retighten the screw.
WARNING The unit must be mounted in a safe and
expert way. If it is installed as a suspend-
ed load above persons, it must addition-
ally be secured (e. g. by a safety rope;
fix the safety rope in such a way that the
maximum falling distance of the unit
does not exceed 20 cm).
6 Operation
Connect the mains cable to a mains socket (230 V~/
50 Hz). Thus, the unit is switched on. To switch off the
unit, disconnect the mains plug.
For a more convenient operation it is recommend-
ed to connect the unit to a mains socket which can be
switched on and off via a light switch.
6.1 Operating mode for the reflector wheel
The operating mode for the reflector wheel can be se-
lected via a switch:
1. To control the reflector wheel via the integrated
microphone (3), set the selector switch (4) to posi-
tion "II". If the music is reproduced with a clear
rhythm in the bass range at sufficient volume, the
rotation of the reflector wheel is synchronized to the
beat of the music. During this process also the
directions will be changed.
2. For continuous rotation of the reflector wheel in one
direction independent of the music, set the selector
switch to position "I".
3. The reflector wheel stands still in the switch posi-
tion "O".

6.2 Focus setting

By turning the adjusting knob (2), adjust the focal
length so that the presentation on the projected area
obtains the desired sharpness.

7 Cleaning of the Optical System

The lens, the mirrors on the reflector wheel, and the
structural glass panes (LE-370 only) should be cleaned
at regular intervals, depending on impurities caused
by dust, smoke, or other particles. Only in this case the
light can be radiated at maximum brightness. Prior to
opening the unit, disconnect the plug from the mains
socket and let the unit cool down for 15 minutes.
detergent for glass. Then carefully wipe the parts dry.
