ADJUSTMENTS
Cutting
Height
Thecutting heightadjustmentleveris locatedabovethe rear left
wheel.See Figure7A insert.
1.
Pull leveroutand away from mower.
2.
Moveleverforwardor back for desiredcutting height.
3.
Releaselevertowardsmowerdeck.
Thefront wheelcuttingheightis determinedbyselectingone of six
positionson each casterassembly.Toadjust front cuttingheight,refer
to Figure7B and proceedas follows:
1.
Removewing nut fromaxle bolt.
Slide axle boltand wavewasher
from theassemblyand selecta
cuttingheight.
2.
With wavewasheron axle bolt,
reinserthardwarein the square
hole desiredthroughwheel
assemblyand securewith wing
nutpreviouslyremoved.
IMPORTANT: A ll wheels mustbe placedin the same relativeposition.
Forrough or unevenlawns,movethe heightadjustmentleverto a
higherposition.This will stop scalpingof grass.
Thecasterscan be lockedin a straightaheadpositionor positionto
swivelfreely.See Figure7C insert.

Lift lock pins.
2.
Placein largerholesto lock wheels.Placepins in smallerholesto
allowcastersto rotatefreelyfor turning.
Drive Control
Theadjustmentwheelis locatedin thedrive controlhandlehousing
and is usedto tightenor loosenthe drivebelt. Youwill haveto adjust
the drivecontrolif any of thefollowinghappens:
1.
The mowerdoes notpropel itselfwith the drivecontrolengaged.
2.
The mower'sdrivewheelshesitatewith the drivecontrolengaged.
If eitherof theseconditionsoccur,rotatethe adjustment w heel
clockwiseto tightenand counter-clockwise to loosencableto adjust
the drivecontrol.See Figure8.
NOTE:Forsome peoplethe drivecontrolmay notbe in a comfortable
position.Youcan adjustthe handleby tighteningthe adjustment w heel.
